If you're looking to begin your career in PR and are either a recent graduate or will be graduating this year, our 2012 graduate position may be just right for you. We specialise in PR for technology, telecoms and media companies so to succeed you'll need to have an interest in these sectors and the enthusiasm to learn.

The job in hand

A graduate position at Babel PR will involve, from day one, a significant amount of responsibility and you'll be expected to turn your hat to a huge variety of tasks. One day you may be researching relevant feature, editorial and award opportunities for your clients and the next you could be recording and editing video footage and uploading it to YouTube or brainstorming with the team to find new ideas to pitch to prospective clients. A day in the office can be very diverse but training will be given throughout to make sure you can keep on top of it all.

The application process is set in three stages.

Stage 1

Don't worry if you've never used About.Me before, setting up a profile is simple and it allows us to get a better understanding of you - so fill the page with whatever information you would like us to know about you and personalise it in a way that best reflects who you are. Deadline for submission: Friday 17th February at noon

Stage 2

If your CV and About.Me application is successful we'll let you know on Tuesday 21st February. If successful you'll need to complete a writing test. Don't panic, it's just a bit of writing and as a graduate you should be used to a bit of writing. For this you'll need to complete a 250 word writing test based on one of the following (you can pick whichever one appeals the most):

• Write a teaser for the release of a new technology product (this product can be entirely made up if you prefer)
• Write a blog based on your thoughts on the future of the mobile phone and tablet industry
• Wired magazine is looking for the 'Top Ten Innovative Products For Under £10' for its next issue - pick a product and pitch it for the feature

Deadline for writing submission: Friday 2nd March at noon

Stage 3

After submitting the writing test we'll let you know by Friday 9th March if you've made it through to the final stage: the workshop. The workshop, which will be hosted at our office in Soho on Friday 23rd March, will let you get to know us a little better and will allow us to get a feel for where your skills and talents lie. We're a friendly bunch at Babel PR so you can expect smiling faces and of course lunch on the day as well as a few fun tasks thrown in for good measure.
