The team

We are a group of people who love what we do and happen to be very good at it.

We do sometimes argue with our clients...

...we are sometimes accused of arrogance...

...but we always deliver.

You won't find a team that's better connected in the technology, media & telecoms sectors - we've worked with, and helped to create, some of the fastest growing brands in the market.

If you have a niche or mass consumer market, or you need to a target a specific business audience, you should talk to us. We develop the strategy, the content, the tactical elements and the implementation to make sure your business objectives are met.

  • Narelle Morrison

Joint Managing Director - Narelle is one of Europe's most experienced PR professionals with a broad range of experience working with start-ups, mid-size market challenges and major corporates. She is fiercely well organised and makes sure that Babel's campaigns always deliver.

  • Ian Hood

Joint Managing Director - Ian is the grey hair at Babel (as you can see). He's been working within the PR industry, in-house and in an agency environment, for more than twenty five years. He provides Babel's clients with high level strategic advice and develops many of the company's campaigns.

  • Matt Humphries

Senior Consultant - As well as being the fastest talker in the telecoms, media & technology sector, Matt is extremely well connected with the media that matter - print, broadcast and online. He's passionate about his clients and gets immersed in their businesses to produce the results required.

  • Katharine (K) Simon

Senior Consultant - Katharine, or K as she likes to be known, may be a Bruce Springsteen fan but, given her expertise in the TMT sector, we don't hold it against her. She provides great strategic and tactical advice and is happiest when managing large and complex campaigns in multiple territories.

  • Kathryn Mills-Webb

Senior Consultant - Though her current age is a closely guarded secret, not so long ago Kathryn featured in PR Week's "29 under 29", showcasing some of the industry's brightest talent. She's even better than that now - unfazed by the complexities of telecoms, media & technology she drives highly successful consumer and business campaigns.

  • Rufus Jay

Consultant - Rufus is poacher turned gamekeeper. Having seen the light during his prior career as a journalist working with Informa (Global Mobile) and Centaur (Marketing Week), he is now sniffing out stories for Babel. Few in the business are better acquainted with, or better equipped to deal with, the current media agenda.

  • Sam Tring

Consultant - 'Alternative' is the word that best describes Sam - from his active participation in the alternative arts scene to the sideways look he takes at campaigns to come up with brilliantly creative ideas. He's also young enough to be immersed in the social media platforms and old (and smart) enough to know how to exploit them.

  • Danielle Adams

Consultant - Dan started with Babel as a graduate and since then we've honed her to a level of perfection little seen in the PR industry. She's built up an enviable collection of contacts amongst the consumer and business media. Something of a product review specialist, if you want your product featured in the papers, the glossies or online, Dan's your man (sort of).

  • James Beattie

Consultant - James' youthful appearance (he still gets asked for ID at the pub!) masks a former career as a newspaper journalist. He now spends his time creating compelling copy for Babel's clients and making sure those stories get written up by his former colleagues. James can spot a story where others fail and nobody spins a better headline.

  • Jody Vodden

Consultant - In the world of PR it helps to be able to talk. There's no finer example of that than Jody. The quantity of her delivery is matched by an equal measure of quality and, as a result, there are very few journalists foolish enough to say no when she's pitching a story.

  • Sophie Stammers

Consultant - Most often seen with her head down getting to the heart of her clients' businesses, Sophie's careful analysis of the relevant market and the potential opportunities mean she always delivers fantastic results. When she isn't PR'ing she's singing and playing the ukulele (yes, really!).

  • Sani Aweida

The Money Man - Sani looks after it and chases when it doesn't arrive. Enough said?
